The Fluke FEV500 is an all-in-one analyzer for commissioning, inspecting, troubleshooting and maintaining Fast DC (Level 3) EV charging stations equipped with CCS connectors. Acting as a “virtual electric vehicle”, the FEV500 lets technicians perform comprehensive safety, communication and performance tests on site from a single CCS connection — without an electric vehicle, and without opening the charger.
With as many as one in five public charging stations sitting offline, fast, repeatable field testing has become essential for charge point operators and service contractors. The FEV500 consolidates the capability of multiple instruments — EV simulator, CCS protocol analyzer, low-ohm meter, insulation tester and oscilloscope — into a single rugged, wheeled, battery-powered unit that delivers guided PASS/FAIL results and TruTest™ reports.
